It’s been an interesting ride for Google’s sleep tracking app.
The company released the Sleep Tracker in January as an experimental product, with no plans for a consumer product.
Now, Google is making it free, with a price tag of just $3.99 per month.
Google said in a blog post that the device is meant for “early adopters and those who want to keep their data secure and private.”
Users can also set it to record only a certain amount of sleep time each day and only use it when they’re awake.
It’s designed to be “the first sleep tracker in the world,” Google wrote.
Google is also offering the device for $5 a month on Android, as a way of giving developers a chance to tweak the device.
It looks like Google has made an exception for developers who want the Sleep tracker to work with their existing apps.
