A Texas police officer is taking some heat after a bobcat tracker device that’s causing problems in his area is causing an avalanche of complaints and lawsuits.
The Bobcat Tracker device, which uses a video camera to track bobcats, has been the subject of a flurry of complaints, including one from a woman who called police to complain that her pet had gotten stuck in the tracker.
The bobcat, named Bobcat, is known for its long, long legs.
The police department said it is reviewing the incident and the device, called the Bobcat Trap, will undergo an internal review.
It will be replaced with a different device, a video surveillance camera, if necessary.ABC News’ David M. Miller and The Associated Press contributed to this report.
